Since the first mobile phones appeared we have been able to store our contacts in them. At first we could only save this information to the SIM card that the telephone company provides us to use the mobile. If we changed the device, we just had to keep the SIM and the contacts would stay with us.
Soon the possibility of saving the contacts also appeared in the memory of the phone, which allowed to add information like the photo or birthday date. And this is where the first problems appeared, the transfer of data to another terminal was only possible through a computer and not always, because it depended on the models and brands of the phones.
With the arrival of the current phones connected to the Internet the panorama has changed, now besides being able to store our agenda in the SIM and the phone, we can choose to save it in the "cloud", which in addition to providing us with a backup, Will allow access to it from any other device.
Keep contacts forever on Android
If you have an Android phone, you can store your contacts permanently, so you can always retrieve them even if you change your mobile or lose the device.
Check your calendar settings for the possibility of setting your Google account as the default destination (it does not appear on all models). Or check each time you add a new one where you want to save it. The presentation in each model is different, but you will see something similar to the following.
If you store the information in your Google account, it will be available to any device that synchronizes with that account, such as a tablet, computer or other mobile phone. Any changes you make to the data from any of them will be immediately reflected in the others provided they have an Internet connection.
You may have your contacts stored in the phone memory or in the SIM, or you may not even know where you have them safely. Then you can use the options offered by the calendar to "import / export" contacts from different locations. Same as before, the look may be different, but you sure have this feature.
So if you export all your contacts from any source to your Google account and then make sure you save the new ones there too, your calendar is safe and you can use it indefinitely.
